KINGSHILL PARADE MURAL

BACKGROUND

Kingshill Parade was anonymous; many people drove past the area without knowing what the parade was calledWe identified this wall as the best area for a mural due to its visibility to passing traffic.

SOLUTION

Working with the council and shop owners, the mural made use of the boarded-up window. The idea for it came from listening to stories from local residents and how, when the shop was a sweet shop, it used to sell Jamboree Bags full of sweets. It was nice to connect the shop's former use with its current one as a Post Office.
